The Youth and Women Empowerment and Support (YES) Project is a project implemented by COSPE Southern Africa, Swaziland Youth Empowerment Organization (Luvatsi), Kwakha Indvondza, Gcama Mfati and Swaziland Rural Women Assembly, in partnership with the European Union in Eswatini. It is a project that is running for 3 years(started February 2022 until January 2026)The project aims to address youth unemployment and gender inequality by providing skills training, mentorship, and support to vulnerable groups, including youth, women, and persons with disabilities.
Key Objectives:
- Skills Development and Economic Empowerment: The project offers vocational training and mentorship programs to equip participants with market-relevant skills, facilitating their integration into the workforce or enabling them to start their own businesses.
- Social Inclusion and Support Services: Beyond economic empowerment, the YES Project focuses on holistic development by providing mental health support, raising awareness about gender-based violence (GBV), and promoting the social inclusion of marginalized groups.
- Community Engagement and Capacity Building: The initiative collaborates with local communities and organizations to foster environments that support youth and women’s empowerment, ensuring the sustainability of its interventions
